Levain

Bring the rising power of Levain, another name for a sourdough starter, to your knitting and take your sweater knitting to the next level! This brioche design was inspired by the abundance of the fall harvest, with golden wheat growing up the body of this cozy cardigan. With the gorgeous farm to needle Shetalandia yarn from Why Knot Fibers, Levain connects you with the creation of food and fiber! This will be the standout piece of your fall wardrobe!

This cardigan is knit flat bottom up in pieces and seamed to add extra structure and allow your garment to hold its shape through regular wear. The design elements are created with brioche increases and decreases. A tubular cast on is used to create a neat finished edge. Tutorial videos for the tubular cast on and seaming brioche are linked in the pattern.

Instructions for the wheat motif are provided in charted form only.
